About US
Student Support
Services (SSS) is designed for students who are low-income, first
generation college students, and students with disabilities from all
racial and ethnic backgrounds who have a need for academic and other
support services in order to successfully complete their college
education. Student Support Services' goals are:

To increase
retention and graduate rates for low-income students, first
generation college students, and students with disabilities.

To increase
the transfer rates of eligible students from two-year
institutions to UMBC.

To foster an
institutional climate supportive of success of low-income
students, first generation college students, and students with
disabilities.
