Conceptual Framework Revised
The Education Department, in collaboration with school partners, has completed revision of its conceptual framework, the document that guides all curricular and instructional decisions in the department. A short version is available at http://www.umbc.edu/education/overview/cf.htm; a longer version may be requested by emailing Marta Seres.
UMBC’s collaboration with the Alice Ferguson Foundation and the National Parks Service recently led to a field trip for Noyce Scholars. Under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Singer and leaders from the collaboration, the scholars studied the river and meadows of Monocacy National Park. Using this location, these students next will lead a group of Upward Bound students in data collection efforts.
