Program Goals

Main Goal: Teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) in the state of Maryland effectively to improve their achievement in the content areas and their English language proficiency.

Enabling Goal 1: Training secondary teachers and teacher candidates to use effective teaching methods and approaches for improving English Language Learners (ELLs) achievement in content areas.

Enabling Goal 2: Training teacher leaders in local school systems to become effective trainers for secondary teachers statewide to improve the achievement of all English Language Learners (ELLs) in Maryland.
