AMV Submission Guidelines
For every marathon, you will be allowed to submit a) one CD-R, or b)up to 1GB (on one disc) worth of AMVs to possibly be shown as hour fillers. Keep in mind, not all of the AMVs you submit will be chosen. To increase an AMV's chance of being chosen, try to follow these following rules:
- 1. High quality video when played at full screen resolution
- 2. No on screen text (such as subtitles or time stamps) unless it is part of the video
- 3. No graphic source material (such as explicit music, explicit violence, sex, etc)
- 4. No extremely short (less than 1min) or extremely long (more than 7min) AMVs
- 5. Should be predominantly anime footage (Exceptions will be made for high quality AMVs set to Japanese video games, live action, etc)
- 6. Aim for variety - try to avoid submitting multiple AMVs featuring the same anime, same musical artist, or same song
Please be aware, once a disc is submitted, it is property of UAS. You will not get it back.
In regards to numbers 3 and 4, failure to abide by these rules will result in automatic disqualification of that AMV. In the case of number 4, it won't even be watched.
