The UMBC Anime Society lives by the "carry-in, carry-out" policy. If you bring in food, then enjoy eating it! However, once you're finished, please clean up your food remains. This could mean throwing away a container; this could mean sweeping a nice big pile crumbs into your hands and tossing them into a trash can (not on the floor). If you see someone walk away from a big mess that they are responsible for making, then tell them, tell an officer, or be awesome enough to clean it up for them.
The idea of cleaning up after someone else is something that nobody wants to think about. Of course, that doesn't mean that you should never pick up trash you didn't personally drop. Sometimes we all have to do our part to keep our locations clean, even if that means picking a gross candy wrapper up off the floor or helping to clean up a spill.
Having addressed the people we hope are amazing enough to help clean up, we need to address the idea of making a mess. If you make a mess, please do not shrink back into the shadows like a ninja and run. Nobody is going to yell at you for making a mess. We're only going to yell at you if we find out you made a mess and walked away from it. In fact, people will think more highly of you if you make a mess and immediately clean it up. You're probably thinking you won't get caught, but with approximately 50 sets of eyes and ears in the area at one time, someone is going to see you.
Our club has a history, especially at marathons, of leaving wherever we've been in a better, cleaner condition than when we got there. Please help to keep the halls as spotless as our current reputation.
