Hailing from the mean streets of Absecon New Jersey, Kristen Rethy came to UMBC to peruse a Modern Languages and Linguistics degree. Kristen wants to be a librarian to protect the books of the world from any possible outside threats including oppressive governments and wayward children. She guilted her suitemate into coming to UAS showings at the start of the Fall 2008 semester and they have both been rabid attendees of all showings since. She is the creator of the UAS mascot and likes to convince everyone else to read or watch whatever she is currently geeking over. When not suffering from the culture clash that is Maryland, Kristen likes to watch anime, read books, believe in the purity of your love, and stay up until 4am surfing the Internets.
