Black History Month

Black History Month is the month in which BSU bears witness to the progress, richness and diversity of African-American achievement. It is a time for Americans to reflect on both the history and teachings of African-Americans whose contributions are still too little known. Through the events proposed for this important month, we intend to encourage the UMBC community to learn more about the history and the continuing struggles of African-American people. The events that we've chosen honor this tradition and will make UMBC as well as the Baltimore community a part of this celebration and reflection.
