The BSU provides an open and honest discussion on various topics regarding issues affecting African-Americans and other minority groups in the United States and abroad. We intend to have our discussions lead to action in order to improve the status and overall well-being of all Americans. Therefore, we strongly encourage all members of the UMBC campus community to engage in serious dialogue as we analyze and challenge today's social, political and economic conditions, and more importantly, seek constructive solutions for them.
