college or scholastic delegation at Pan-Am (alternates, faculty,
coaches, students, alumni, fans).
Prizes-Open Section ($$Gtd 3450): $1000-$500-$250-$150
plus one trophy. $200 each to top U2250, U2150, U2050, U1950.
$150 plus plaque each to top college alternate, faculty/coach,
woman, and top scholastic faculty/coach, woman.
Prizes-U1800 Section ($$Gtd 1350): $400-200-150. $150
each to top U1600, U1400, U1200, unrated. No unrated may win more
than $200.
Game Prizes (all Pan-Am events): Chronos clock each for
greatest upset, best combination, best ending.
EF: Players and alternates $120/person if rec’d
by 11-17 ($150 late). Non-player social fee $60/person ($80 late).
Includes snack food at each round.
Schedule: Reception 12-27 3-4pm, Opening Ceremony 12-27
4-5pm, Closing Ceremony 12-30 4-5pm.
Rds: 12-27 6pm, 12-28 10am and 5pm, 12-29 10am and 5pm,
12-30 9am.
Bye: ½-point bye in any two rounds, if requested
before Rd 1. Alternates receive ½-point bye in any rd.
while playing on collegiate or scholastic team.
Rules-Open: FIDE rules, USCF and FIDE rated. Pairings
by FIDE ratings (or equivalent).
