Update from chess final four after Round 2

The third and final round of the Final Four of College Chess will begin 9am tomorrow (Sunday) at the Dulles Westin Hotel in Herndon, VA. Either UMBC, UT Dallas (UTD), or Texas Tech (TT) could win in this closest Final Four championship ever.

The team round-robin is scored by individual points.
Tie-breaks in order are team points, head-to-head outcome, and Armageddon playoff. The top four USA schools from the 2011 Pan-Am Championship qualified for the Final Four.

Having already tied with each of the two highest-rated teams (TT, UTD), UMBC faces the lowest-rated team (NYU)
in the final round. Although each of TT and UTD currently
has more points than does UMBC, TT and UTD will play each other in Round 3. If UMBC goes 4-0 in Round 3, it might possibly win.

    Round 1
    UMBC 2.0 - TT 2.0
    NYU 0.5 - UTD 3.5

    Round 2
    UTD 2 - UMBC 2
    TT 4 - NYU 0

    Individual Points after Round 2:
    6.0 TT
    5.5 UTD
    4.0 UMBC
    0.5 NYU
