The UMBC Fencing club will be at Involement Fest on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Main Street of the Commons.

Hey everybody, happy new year!
The semester is upon us and so is the spring meet.
We haven't received exact word yet, but I am assuming our practices will
be at the same time on the same days.
For the moment, I'm going to say expect them to start on the first
Tuesday (the 2nd). More bulletins as events warrant!
The spring BWCFC Meet:
'The spring meet is going to be on Saturday, February 13th at College Park.
Just got info from Wayne about the times today:
"UMCP would like teams to be there by 9:00 am. I hope to start the
first round by 9:30.
There will be 6 rounds done in the 2 strip format, which takes about
1 hr 15 min per round, so figure 5:30 finish time, give or take."'
So, if you plan on competing (you should know who you are) make sure
your personal gear is ready, if you've got it. If you're not sure if
you would be or not, or you would be, but you can't due to the date of
the Tourney, email me or any of the officers or coaches.

There will NOT be fencing practice this Thursday,
December 3rd, due to Tae Kwon Do belt testing taking place in the fitness
studio during our normal practice time.
We will still have practice time next Tuesday, as usual. In addition,
next Thursday, the fitness studio will be available for us to use starting
at 7pm (which will probably also be the last official practice day of the
semester).
UMBC Fencers competed this past Saturday in the BWCFC Northern Fall Meet at Temple University.
