"UMBC Kendo was founded with the purpose in mind to create in each and every individual a disciplined mind and body.
We hope that the experiences gained by our members will open doors to a higher level of self-realization and that Kendo
is not simply just a weekly activity, but a way of life, ever disciplining the human character"

Club T-Shirts!!!

SGA is giving out T-Shirt funds to clubs, but is a first come first serve.
We have requested the maximum allocation, and hope that everyone will receive
a free shirt. However if we do go over our limit, we will have to divide up the cost
and everyone will pay a small amount for shirts (Were estimating $3-8 max).
Please if you haven't already, reply back to the T-Shirt email with your name and size
bearing in mind that a small cost is possible. Thanks!!!

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and hope to get practices started up asap.
In the meantime, we do still have practices at B.A. Kendo Dojo, Mondays and Wednesdays.

Behavior Misconduct

This message will be kept up for the rest of the year to reiterate the dangers of misconduct. Kendo is one of the few martial arts that starts and ends with rei-gi (Act of courtesy and respect). Because Kendo deals with disciplining the mind and body a level of respect and seriousness must always be present. Therefore those that disrespect the dojo, members, equipment, or its affiliates will be met with No Leniency. Those in violation will be asked to leave the dojo and if found with continual student misconduct will be removed from the club and reported to proper authorities.
