  • The 77th Annual Educational Conference of the Catholic Medical Association.  When: October 9-11, 2008.  Where: Baltimore, Maryland.  Hosted by the Hyatt Regency Hotel at the Inner Harbor.  The theme for this year's conference is "Theology of the Body: Modern Challenges to Health, Conscience and Human Development." The conference will address issues of conscience formation and its difficulties, the raising of children, spiritual and emotional healing from abortion and addiction, accepting limitations on health and reproduction, and aging and sexuality issues faced by the senior community.  All these topics will be addressed in the light of Pope John II's Theology of the Body.
  • Thursday Dinner.  The last Thursday night dinner will be this week so please come out.  It will be a pot luck, so please bring something if you can if you plan on attending.  It will be at 5:30 in the large room of the Interfaith Center as always.
  • Midnight Breakfast.   The event will go until midnight and starts at 10pm in the large room of the Interfaith Center on Wednesday, May 14th.  Typical breakfast items will be served.  Great to help give you that extra energy you need to study and prepare for finals. So, please, do come.
  • New Website Administrator needed.  A new website administrator is needed.  I don't have the time I used to for updating the website as I spend a lot of time now doing a lot of music production work as well as helping with other newman club events.  The website hasn't been updated in awhile and I apologize.  This may be the last time I update the site for this semester. For next semester, I will need someone else to take over website administration duties.  I can even train you and show you how to do it in preparation for the fall semester.  So if you are interested in volunteering for this position and would like to know more about it, please email me at sonidodelx@gmail.com
  • Sunday Mass Duties.  If you would like to volunteer for Sunday Mass duties such as Mass set up and breakdown, reading, ushering, and being a Eucharistic Minister please contact Andy at waiters2@umbc.edu.  You will also be able to sign up after Sunday 5pm mass to fill duties for the following week.
