The Way of the Foot and the Fist

The UMBC Tae Kwon Do Club is a free student organization where you can learn the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do. Our students are taught in the style of the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (W.T.F.). Our purpose is to become more aware of one's mental and physical potential and to develop the attributes of courtessy, integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit. (The Tenets, or Principles, of Tae Kwon Do)

Getting help with the sidekick

All ranks and fitness levels are welcome! New students are invited to come to any class. Wear something loose and be prepared to sweat! If you like what you see, a uniform can be purchased from the club.

New Updates:

The May 2012 Promotion Test included three black belts:

Durand Richards to WTF 1st degree black belt,

Anthony Huynh to 2nd degree, and

Trang Huynh to 3rd degree (yes, its Anthony's mom)

The World Taekwondo Federation Black Belt Certificates will be Awarded in September with the promotions from the Summer session.
