Edgar Endress Lecture

Please join us at the Center for Art, Design & Visual Culture during free hour 12 pm - 1:15 pm, Wednesday, March 4th for a gallery talk with artist Edgar Endress. Endress will discuss his current multi media installation at CADVC and his ongoing research in Bolivia and Haiti. Other topics include relational aesthetics and public art as they relate to his metropolitan DC-based art practice with Floating Lab Collective. This event is co-sponsored by CADVC and the Department of Visual Arts.

The UMBC Department of Theatre presents the Fourth Annual IN10 Festival from March 4 through 8 in the UMBC Theatre. Experience screenprinting firsthand as we print up a batch of ArtWeek tshirts and posters. Tshirt supplies are limited, so you may want to bring a clean white shirt just in case! The screenprinting demonstration, reshceduled from Monday, will replace the previously-scheduled Friday Tie Dye event.

Please visit the Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture in the Fine Arts Building, Room 105 at noon for a gallery walk and talk with exhibition staff. Participants will have a chance to view the exhibition, 5:3 - Five Artists : Three States – Video : Animation : Sound, and to learn more about current, time-based art from the mid-Atlantic region.

SEB presents the 2009 edition of their 48 Hour Film Festival! Amateur and aspiring filmmakers alike can stop by the SEB office from 3-4PM for their instructions, and then have the weekend to shoot and edit their pieces. The submissions will be screened and winners announced at an awards ceremony later in the month.
