The goal of UMBC Wrestling is to produce national champions and All-Americans.
This year's squad returns former conference champion John Lapoint (235) as well as conference finalist and team captain Joe Eassa (184), and starters Leif Huber (157) and Karim Mansour (285). In addition, the team has brought in several talented freshmen and transfer students. Transfer Daniel Carr (149) was a two-time state finalist in high school. Freshmen Brian Samuels (133), Kekura Musa (133) and transfer Zach Coe (165) were all state placewinners. The team also expects big performances from freshmen Angelo Ambridge (125) and Kris Dutt (141).
