Service and Volunteerism Philosophy

Service and volunteerism offers unique and meaningful ways to connect with others and to help you discover what is important to you. Service can take numerous forms and provides ways for you to act purposefully in both your local and global communities. Our mission is to provide a wide range of opportunities and resources so that you can get involved in activities and social issues that you are most passionate about.

What interests you? Is it issues of poverty and disadvantaged populations, the environment, social justice and discrimination, disabilities, literacy, the elderly, campus improvement, AIDS in Africa, people with illness, after school programs, or teaching English? If you are not sure what means the most to you, try many things until you connect to what you are looking for. The opportunities are plentiful and diverse, so what is service to you?
