Dr. Charles Bieberich Center Director Dr. Charles Bieberich will serve as the Administrative Core Director, as P.I. of the work proposed principally in Aim 1, and as a mentor for one student taking part in the Educational Enrichment Program (see below). He will also serve as Director of the Educational Enrichment Program. Dr. Bieberich will also serve as the liaison between the Sponsored Programs and Grant Accounting departments of UMBC and the John Hopkins School of Medicine, and will be responsible for ensuring that all IR-BU Center resources are correctly allotted. He will be responsible for ensuring that the plan for data and resource sharing within the Center is being followed by all Center personnel, and will chair monthly meetings to be attended by the other Center P.I.s and those working on Center-funded projects within their laboratories. Monthly meetings will rotate between UMBC and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Bieberich will also moderate quarterly conference calls among the Advisory Committee and Center P.I.s.   Drs. Angelo De Marzo and Srinivasan Yegnasubramanian Drs. Angelo De Marzo and Srinivasan Yegnasubramanian will serve both as P.I.s and as mentors for one student each in the Educational Enrichment Program. They will attend the monthly center meetings, and participate in quarterly conference calls with the Advisory Committee. Dr. De Marzo is currently a co-investigator in an O’Brien Urology Center at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His eligibility to serve as a P.I. on the current application was confirmed by NIDDK Program Officer Deborah K. Hoshizaki, Ph.D. in discussions with proposed Center Director Charles J. Bieberich.   Jeffrey P. Jarosz Jeff Jarosz is the Assistant Director of Extramurally Funded Training in the Department of Biological Sciences of UMBC. He has conducted many science programs for undergraduate interns, high school teachers, high school pupils, and graduate fellows. He will coordinate stipends, housing, and assignment of interns to laboratories.   Advisory Committee Richard B.
