Application Process for Undergraduate Students
Visiting Students
- Visiting undergraduate students must create an account and apply to UMBC before registering for summer courses (see below for application options)
- If you are in good academic standing at your home institution, transcripts are not required
- Be sure to check with your home institution to verify the course(s) you want are transferable
- Once you are admitted to the session, then you may register online through myUMBC beginning March 26
Incoming UMBC Students (Fall 2012)
- Students who accept Fall 2012 admission do not need to apply

Current Students
- Students who attended UMBC in the spring 2012 semester do not need to apply
- Register online through myUMBC beginning March 26
How to Apply
When you apply online, you will create an account, submit your application and pay the application fee by credit card over a secure Internet connect.

- Under the heading "With Your Account" select "Apply to UMBC"
- Under the heading "Applications" select "Non-degree seeking students, visiting students and Summer and Winter Sessions
ONLINE APPLICATION FEE: $50
An application fee of $50 is required for online submissions. Online applications can be paid during the online process, after all the information has been completed and submitted.
Apply via Paper Application
Prospective students may download a paper application, request an application by mail or request an application by phone at 410-455-2335. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply online in lieu of using a paper application, as online applications are processed quicker.
PAPER APPLICATION FEE: $50
An application fee of $50 is required for paper submissions. Checks must be made payable to UMBC and should accompany the application form.
