What are criminalistics?

    * Criminalistics are various scientific analysis's of physical evidence (objects found at the crime scene that can help crime scene investigators determine whether a crime was committed or it can provide a link between a crime and its victims). This evidence can include drugs, hair, fibers, soil, blood, paint chips, photos, firearms, fingerprints, footprints, ear prints, documents, tire tread, semen, and etc. Forensic genetics uses dna testing to identify the source of semen or bloodstains which is now being used in murder and rape investigations.
