Hurricanes and tornadoes are both made of clouds and wind. Hurricanes and tornadoes both can cause lots of damage and deaths throughout the world. They both have very high winds and very strong power. They both can lift anything that gets in their way. Differences
Hurricanes and tornadoes are different in a lot of ways. Hurricanes do not touch the ground and tornadoes do touch the ground. Tornadoes are funnel shaped clouds and hurricanes are clouds in a circle. Tornadoes occur in certain places and Hurricanes occur anywhere. Hurricanes are tropical storms and tornadoes are not. Guess which storm has the highest speed in winds? Give up.... tornadoes do, in a lot of cases. Hurricanes can sometimes have higher speeds, but not usually.
