At UMBC, students benefit from the presence of four outstanding arts
departments—Theatre, Dance, Music, and Visual Arts. Additionally, Theatre
majors have the opportunity to attend dozens of performances, exhibitions,
lectures and other arts and cultural events throughout the year. Theatre
majors enjoy taking classes in other arts departments: actors study singing
and dance, while designers take art history or photography. We encourage
collaboration with the other arts disciplines.
