Adam Mendelson
Lecturer
Lighting and Sound Designer

Adam Mendelson teaches Lighting and Sound Design at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County where they opened the state-of-the-art Performing Arts and Humanities Building in August of 2012. He previously taught at the University of Wyoming, the University of Texas-Arlington, Stephens College (Columbia, MO), and Lawrence Academy (Groton, Massachusetts). His design work has been seen across the country and as far afield as Edinburgh, Scotland. Adam earned his MFA in Design and Technical Theatre from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a BA in Drama from Tufts University. Adam is also the Vice-Commissioner of Communication for the Education Commission of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT). He recently moved to Newark, DE with his longtime partner Catherine Wallis, and Delia and Jasmine (their furry family members).
