Greggory Schraven is a graduate and previous Technical Director of UMBC’s Department of Theatre. In addition to coordinating and overseeing the stage mangers on departmental productions, he teaches Introduction
to Scenography, Production Techniques, Drafting for the Theatre, and Technical Production. He has served as Technical
Director for many area theatre companies including: Rep Stage (Mrs. Warren’s Profession); Contemporary American Theatre
Festival (1001, My Name is Rachel Corrie); University of Delaware’s new Performing Arts Center (Peter Pan, Cyrano de
Bergerac); Performance Workshop Theatre (Philadelphia Here I Come, The Puppet Master of Lodz); Maryland Stage Company
(A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Beckett’s Play, That Time and Ohio Impromptu (performed in Berlin), Six Degrees of Separation);
Everyman Theatre (Lonely Planet, The Waverly Gallery); Catonsville Community College, Venus Theatre (The Daughters of Molly
Maguire); Bowman Ensemble (The Zalmar Boys (performed in NYC)), and Shakespeare on Wheels (Hamlet, Othello). Greggory has
designed the sets and/or lights for many productions as well, including the set for UMBC Theatre Department’s American
College Theatre Festival (ACTF) production of Buried, which was performed at the Kennedy Center.
