WATSON
Associate Professor
Lynn Watson has worked extensively as a voice, speech, and dialects specialist at leading regional
theatres. Her credits include numerous productions at Arena Stage; Kennedy Center productions of The Glass Menagerie
(dir. Gregory Mosher) and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (dir. Mark Lamos); Ford’s Theatre in Washington, DC; Maryland
Stage Company; A.C.T. San Francisco; Mark Taper Forum; and four seasons with the Tony-winning theatre, South Coast Repertory.
She also teaches and coaches acting. Her own acting credits include Off Broadway at the American Place Theatre. She has
performed at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, toured nationally, and played leading classical roles in regional theatre.
She is an associate editor for the Voice and Speech Review and the "
International Dialects of English Archive." Professional affiliations include AEA, SAG, and the Voice and Speech Trainers
Association (VASTA). She is an Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework.
