Denise and R.J. want their baby back. Held up in a cheap motel, they impatiently await a social worker's verdict while fending off the antics of a drunken innkeeper. With a wink to Jerry Springer, this darkly entertaining comedy exposes the human desperation behind class prejudice and questions the reach of social control.
