Admissions - UMBC Elkton Station Campus
Program Update
Under the JRC-DMS accreditation guidelines, satellite campus operations are not recognized. Therefore each location where classroom instruction is delivered requires separate accreditation, which can be a very lengthy process. To ensure that our students are registry eligible upon graduation, we have transferred all students in the Cecil County-based Elkton Station program to the UMBC program. While this requires travel to the UMBC South Campus location for classroon instruction (which is roughly 50% of the program), we are working with students to ensure that clinical rotations continue to occur in the Cecil County area.
We are working with Cecil College and the JRC-DMS to develop a plan for the 2009 - 2010 class for this program. If you are interested in being updated on these plans as they develop, please click here.
