Regulatory Affairs for Biotechnology Training
UMBC offers a comprehensive education program in the area of regulatory affairs for biotechnology, providing participants with in-depth exposure to key areas associated with bringing a biological product to the market under FDA approval. UMBC Training Centers offers this 4-course program to working professionals and other students interested in taking these courses on a non-credit basis. Courses may be taken individually; non-credit students completing all four courses will be awarded 18 CEUs and a certificate from UMBC.
Courses include:
- Regulatory Issues in Biotechnology (Fall 2009)
- Good Manufacturing Practices for Bioprocesses (Spring 2008)
- Quality Control and Quality Assurance for Biotechnology Products (Fall 2008)
- Design, Construction, and Validation of GMP Biotechnology Facilities (Spring 2009)
Graduate Credit Option:
If you are interested in taking these courses on a for-credit basus, UMBC offers a unique graduate certificate program in Biochemical Regulatory Engineering. To earn a graduate certificate (12 semester hours of credit) admission to the University of Maryland , Baltimore County Graduate School is required. To apply for admission, please complete a post-baccalaureate certificate application.
Applicants must provide a copy of the undergraduate transcript certifying completion of a bachelor's degree and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. Departmental approval is required for an undergraduate GPA of less than 3.0.
