PHR®/SPHR® Certification Preparation
UMBC is offering an eleven-week professional development program for human resource professionals utilizing the study materials of the Society for Human Resource Management’s Learning System.
This course is designed to give you the latest information and management tools for successful performance in your profession. The role of human resources in the public and private sectors is expanding dramatically. Being at the forefront of corporate decision making and the effective management of your human resources is a challenge that demands competency. The course also helps prepare participants for the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) National Examination for both Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) and Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR®) certifications. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive 3.0 Continuing Education Units and a certificate of completion from SHRM.

Registering for the PHR or SPHR Exams
Participants planning to take the PHR or SPHR examinations after any course must register through HRCI. The application deadline for the upcoming PHR and SPHR winter exam is October 10, 2008. The late registration deadline is November 14, 2008.
