It consisted of twelve raised dots which could be combined to represent different sounds. Unfortunately, it proved to be too complex for soldiers to master and was therefore rejected by the army.Louis Braille, being blind, quickly realized how useful this system of raised dots could be, provided it was simplified. Over the next few months he experimented with different systems until he found an ideal one using six dots. For the next six years he continued to work on the scheme, developing separate codes for math and music. In 1829 the first book in Braille was published. In 1829, Louis Braille was 20 years old.DescriptionTo take full advantage of the fast pace of technological change and opportunity, individuals must constantly seek new and innovative solutions to the challenges facing their organizations. This workshop is designed to provide insight into the skills that they will need to accomplish this.
