Overview

The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) is a highly sought after certification for those engineers seeking recognition for their education, experience, and knowledge in the highly competitive field of Systems Engineering.

Obtaining a CSEP is not easy, but that is what makes it so valuable. You have to demonstrate your real world experience via a formal application that includes professional references. And you need to pass a two-hour, 120-question, multiple-choice exam.

This course helps prepare potential candidates for this demanding process by becoming familiar with the INCOSE SE Handbook version 3.2 which is the basis for the examination. Students will also learn the requirements for a successful CSEP application.

Upon completion of this class, the participant will:

  • Have a good grasp of the fundamentals of Systems Engineering, including the understanding of systems engineering management and systems engineering processes, from the INCOSE perspective
  • Be well prepared for the CSEP exam
  • Be able to apply the INCOSE SE Handbook to a project
  • Understand INCOSE CSEP application process

Prerequisites

Students should have a background in Systems Engineering prior to attending this course. It is highly recommended that students review the INCOSE application and certification process before attending class. Students should also obtain a copy of, and become familiar with, the INCOSE SE Handbook prior to attending class.
