The Certificate in Computer and Network Technology at UMBC Training Centers provides candidates with the skills and knowledge required to successfully begin or enhance their careers in the field of information technology in a variety of roles. Upon successful completion of this program, in addition to being awarded a Certificate in Computer and Network Technology from UMBC Training Centers, participants will be prepared to obtain CompTIA's industry-leading A+ and Network+ professional certifications.

These professional certifications, along with the skills and knowledge gained from the program and the credential from UMBC Training Centers should increase participants' professional value to their current or future employers and position them competiviely in the marketplace.

Audience

This program is suitable for individuals seeking to enter the field of information technology or those who are already in the IT field who desire additional education and training on the fundamentals of computer and network technology. This certificate is also a good starting point for those interested in more advance professional certifications, such as the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, or other IT-related Certificate programs at UMBC Training Centers.

Schedule

This program is offered in two formats to accomodate the schedules of busy professionals - weekday and evening. Both options cover the same content. If needed, participants can combine weekday and evening sessions. Please contact an Admissions Representative for additional information.
