OverviewThe Certificate in System Administration and Security at UMBC Training Centers provides candidates with the skills and knowledge required to successfully begin or enhance their careers in the field of information technology in a variety of roles. Upon successful completion of this program, in addition to being awarded a Certificate in System Administration and Security from UMBC Training Centers, participants will be prepared to obtain the following industry-leading professional certifications: EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) plus either Red Hat Certified System Administator (RHCSA) or MCSA Windows Server 2008 Certification. These professional certifications, along with the skills and knowledge gained from the program and the credential from UMBC Training Centers should increase participants' professional value to their current or future employers and position them competiviely in the marketplace. AudienceThis program is suitable for individuals with some IT experience who desire additional training in system administration and security. PrerequisitesCompTIA Network+ and Security+ certification, or equivalent practical experience and knowledge. ScheduleThis program is offered in two formats to accomodate the schedules of busy professionals - weekday and evening. Both options cover the same content. If needed, participants can combine weekday and evening sessions. Please contact an Admissions Representative for additional information.
