Overview

Apache Hadoop is an open source software framework that supports data-intensive distributed applications. It enables applications to work with thousands of computational independent computers and petabytes of data. Hadoop was derived from Google's MapReduce and Google File System (GFS) papers and is used heavily in Big Data applications.

UMBC Training Centers, in partnership with sqrrl data, Inc. (www.sqrrl.com), a big data provider for Apache Accumulo, provides high-quality, professional education and training for Apache Accumulo.

Apache Accumulo is an open source non-relational and highly scalable database that provides low latency and random read/write access to data. Accumulo works in conjunction with Apache Hadoop and is based on the architecture of Google’s BigTable. Accumulo has novel improvements over other non-relational databases including cell-level access controls and a server-side programming mechanism that can modify key/value pairs at various points in the data management process.

Our Hadoop and Accumulo training programs are highly interactive, hands-on and are scheduled to meet the demands of working professionals.
