
Overview
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) combines familiar Office tools with the latest collaboration technology. SharePoint 2007 extends the functionality of the Office applications and the Web into a single environment to share information, no matter where you are or how you access it.
In this course, you will use SharePoint Designer 2007 to:
- create a SharePoint team site to facilitate collaboration among the team members
- create and edit content in a team site and also manage your own team site
- emphasize your organizations's unique requirements and brand identity
- build a new subsite on the SharePoint services platform
- extend and customize existing SharePoint sites to include advanced functionality
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- understand the SharePoint Designer environment
- create a new subsite
- add content to a web page
- use Cascading Style Sheets to format a SharePoint site
- add basic functionality to web pages
- add SharePoint components to the site
- automate business processes with workflows
- work with ASP.NET forms
- work with Data Sources
- use SharePoint templates to update existing sites and create new templates from these changes
- learn some advanced data integration techniques
- customize existing workflows
- learn about administration tools in SharePoint Designer 2007
Prerequisites
Experience using, creating, and managing sites with SharePoint out-of-the-box functionality. These skills are covered in our SharePoint Power End User class.
