Overview | Sonography HomeOverviewThis program prepares experienced ultrasound professionals for the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) examination. The RVT examination is three hours long and contains approximately 170 multiple-choice questions. Over a period of twelve weekends, participants will learn arterial Doppler and duplex, carotid duplex, upper and lower extremity venous exams through lecture and hands-on experience in the UMBC Sonography scan lab. Upon completion of this program, participants will have the information needed to sit for the Vascular Technology registry exam. PrerequisitesParticipants must already be credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS) for entry into the program. Schedule12 weekends, Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m and Sundays 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Price$5,250.00 plus the cost of one book 5% discount for employees of current clinical sites in the 13.5 month Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
