Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Exam Preparation

Overview

This program prepares experienced ultrasound professionals for the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) examination. The RVT examination is three hours long and contains approximately 170 multiple-choice questions.

Over a period of twelve weekends, participants will learn arterial Doppler and duplex, carotid duplex, upper and lower extremity venous exams through lecture and hands-on experience in the UMBC Sonography scan lab.  Upon completion of this program, participants will have the information needed to sit for the Vascular Technology registry exam.

Prerequisites

Participants must already be credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS) for entry into the program.

Schedule

12 weekends, Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m and Sundays 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Price

$5,250.00 plus the cost of one book

Notice

This program is for the Vascular Technology curriculum review and consists of didatic and scan lab only - no clinical time is included. This program does not fall within the UMBC Training Centers JRC-DMS accreditation.
