• ENME 311 Engineering for Elementary School Teachers (New) REVISED - The UGC will invite the Department to the April 22 meeting to discuss the course proposal.

4. Tabled Postings

The following tabled postings will be removed from the Undergraduate Council's agenda until the Departments submit the requested information.

• SOCY 420 - Social Epidemiology (Change: Prerequisite) - The UGC tabled SOCY 420 because several years ago the UGC moved from using class standing as an appropriate prerequisite. The UGC is concerned that, for example, a junior math major with only SOCY 101 would take this class and committee questions whether that student would be prepared.
• SOCY 430 - Sociology of Aging (Change: Prerequisite) - The UGC tabled SOCY 430 because the committee is concerned that, for example, a junior math major with only SOCY 101 would take this 400-level class. Would that student be prepared? The UGC just wants to make sure that this requirement is what the department wants – the one SOCY 101 course seems very
  different preparation from 9 credits in Sociology.
• AMST 420 - Seminar in Communication, Media, and the Arts (Change: Title, Prerequisite & Description) - tabled; not clear if this course should be "Global America" or "American Signs".
• AMST 430 - Seminar in Culture Policy (Change: Title, Prerequisite & Description) - tabled; not clear if this course should be "Global America" or "American Signs".
• ART 436 Design and Technology III: Advanced Web Interfaces (New)
• ANCS 400 Seminar in Ancient Studies (New)

5. Program Reviews

The UGC will discuss the Program Reviews for American Studies, Dance, English and Physics at the April 22 meeting. Dr. Stapleton requested that the reports be emailed and reviewed prior to the next meeting.
