AGNG
100 So You Say You Want a Revolution: How Boomers are Revolutionizing
Aging (Change: Credits) The UGC discussed AGNG 100 and tabled
it pending jusification for the discussion hour, why does the
Department want it? How will students be graded for their participation
in that hour? The UGC also felt that perhaps the department
could consider teaching the course on a three-time a week schedule
(ie. M/W/F) with the first two meetings dedicated to lectures
and the third to discussion, or perhaps the department could
edit the discussion out of the podcasts? Committee members felt
that a change in contact hours should be driven by pedagogy
inherent in the course, rather than by pod-casting considerations.

THTR
360 Modern Theatre ISocial
Protest (Change: Course Number)
- The UGC was satisfied with the
justification for turning these
"capstone" courses into
400-level courses, but felt that
the prerequisites (one 200-level
theater course) were inadequate,
given the claimed justification.
The UGC would like for the Department
to identify the appropriate 300-level
prerequisites (e.g., THTR 321,
the analysis course you mention)
for these to-become-400-level
courses.
