UMBC Web Developers

This site is for anyone responsible for the content, design and/or programming of official UMBC web sites. The goal is to share best practices or issues about campus web development as well as tips on web trends, tools and issues generally.

To facilitate collaboration and communication, this site uses Blackboard's online courseware tool. To browse as a "guest" or login, follow the instructions below.

An email listserve "umbcwebdev@listproc.umbc.edu" is also used to update members about changes to the UMBC web environment, announce workshops and share tips. To join the list, add it to your "email subscriptions" under the "Communications" tab in myUMBC.

To Browse, click here

  • Select the "Guest Login" option
  • Select the "Community" tab at the top
  • Use "Organization Search" or browse the "Organization Catalog" to find UMBCWEBDEV.

To Enroll, click here

  • Login with your UMBC userid & password
  • Select the "Community" tab at the top
  • Use "Organization Search" or browse the "Organization Catalog" to find UMBCWEBDEV.
  • Select "Quick Enroll" on the left-hand navigation panel.


To Login, click here

  • The UMBCWEBDEV Blackboard community "course" will appear in your list of organizations.

  • Members are able to use Blackboard's group discussion, Virtual Chat, file exchange, and archive features.
