Where did you go to high school?
Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School

When and why did you decide you wanted to attend UMBC?
UMBC was the only school I applied to. It is fairly small, which allowed me to take advantage of opportunities not available to me at larger schools. It is also well known for its high standard of teaching.

How did you hear about the Collegiate Success Institute (CSI) Summer Program?
I am a tutor at the UMBC Writing Center, located in the library. I was recommended for the CSI position by the Center.

Why did you decide to participate in the CSI Program and/or be a Peer Mentor for the CSI Program?
CSI is a great opportunity for me to gain experience with writing and helping others write. I am also going to law school after graduation, and the CSI program will be great experience to help improve my interpersonal skills.

What was the most interesting thing that happened during your first year at UMBC?
A friend of mine found a dying squirrel on campus, but with the help of a local wildlife reserve was able to nurse it back to health. She kept it for a month and a half, until she was forced to set it free.
