CSI: Collegiate Success Institute: Parents' Perspectives

“I think CSI Summer Bridge helped my son grow a lot and truly get ready for college. It provided networking, all around development opportunities, study skills, confidence and most of all reinforcement of honor and integrity.”

“On the whole I loved this program and applaud all the people involved for their commitment, availability almost around the clock, helpfulness and encouragement to the kids. It gave my son an opportunity to prove himself and flourish.”

“I know that our daughter needed extra support during this program and we were concerned and hopeful when it all began - mostly we wanted her to be successful and happy.  Our daughter had some difficulties adjusting, especially to the rigors of studying and figuring out how to achieve her goals of getting good grades.  She didn't really develop these habits in high school, so it was remarkable and wonderful for all of us that she figured out time management, good study skills, and realizing that she could do whatever she set her mind to. These are all things we've been trying to instill and this program was able to accomplish that - THANK YOU! The results exceeded our expectations with our daughter having learned critical learning skills and increased self-confidence and esteem.”

“I didn’t have to ask my son anything. He was happy to tell me about how well he was doing. He was extremely happy and appreciative to be in the program. I know that the few weeks of CSI will positively impact his college experience. He certainly learned great skills during his attendance.”

“The most beneficial aspects or outcomes of CSI were living on campus with peers, becoming familiar with the campus, building confidence and learning organizational study skills and that college can be fun, but it is hard work.”

“The program is great because it really gives the student a taste of college life.  The students have to learn to live with one another.  The student will experience and learn to adjust to different professors and their different teaching styles before a full semester of classes. It is also great in that the kids get to bond with one another and learn about the cultural backgrounds of each other.”
