Where did you go to high school?
Baltimore Polytechnic Institute/Susquahannock High School

When and why did you decide you wanted to attend UMBC?
My mother had attended and graduated from the university.

How did you hear about the Collegiate Success Institute (CSI) Summer Program?
The Admissions Office told me this would be a good opportunity for me to make sure I have what it takes to be successful at UMBC.

Why did you decide to be a Peer Mentor for the CSI Program?
The CSI Program helped me grow as a student and made me well-rounded for the academic school year.

What was the most interesting thing that happened during your first year at UMBC?
The most interesting thing was all the personal freedom I had to do whatever whenever I wanted to. It also taught me about responsibility and time management.

What was your favorite part of being part of the CSI program?
My favorite part was the community service trips we used to take.

Would you recommend CSI to new UMBC students?
Yes I would because it helps bridge the gap in the transition from high school.

Tell us a few interesting things about yourself…?
I enjoy dance, sports, the Nets, and I am also a very social person. I am from Baltimore but I enjoy the Pennsylvania life from time to time.
