Janet McGlynn manages several programs within the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE). She promotes student interest in, and application for, Undergraduate Research Awards (URA), Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day (URCAD) and the UMBC Review. She produces the annual undergraduate research day in collaboration with a faculty committee and colleagues in the OUE.

McGlynn manages the annual nomination and selection process for the New Student Book Experience. She also helps coordinate the work of Academic Integrity Committee, Retention Committee and the Writing Board.

McGlynn came to UMBC from a career in human services and nonprofit organizations. She worked in the UMBC Division of Professional Education and Training for four years and joined OUE when it was created. Her bachelor's and master's degrees are from Johns Hopkins University.
