Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day
"URCAD is indistinguishable in content, quality, attendance, audience participation, and professionalism from symposia of professional societies."
-UMBC faculty member
UMBC has sponsored Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day annually since 1997. This event features oral presentations, poster sessions, and artistic exhibits and performances, typically by students who have completed this research during the current academic year.
This campus celebration of achievement affirms UMBC's commitment to the twin goals of research and a distinctive undergraduate experience. This year’s event will be the twelfth URCAD and will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, in locations throughout the campus.
All current undergraduates who have conducted research, scholarship or creative work in the last year may apply to present their results at URCAD.
Mentors, fellow students, friends, family members, high school teachers and students, graduate school recruiters, and the general public are invited to attend.
