Acting Director, Women’s Center
Jess Myers joined the Women’s Center as the Coordinator in January 2011. Since then she’s moved into the Director position and works every day to help accomplish the Center’s mission of assisting all women in achieving their full potential in education, career and personal life through academic and intellectual growth, professional development and personal empowerment.
Jess holds a B.A. in Social Work with a minor in Writing and Rhetoric from The Catholic University of America and a M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education with a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies from Colorado State University. Prior to working in the Women’s Center, Jess worked in Residence Life at both Colorado State University and College of Notre Dame of Maryland.
Jess currently serves on various UMBC committees including the Relationship Violence Awareness and Prevention Team, the Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence Response Team, the Gender and Women’s Studies Coordinating Committee, and the President’s Commission for Women.
