Are you ready for some Futbol?
On this Saturday, August the 25th, UMBC Women's Soccer team will play American at 1 PM in a non-conference matchup.
Later on that day, UMBC Men's Soccer team will play their season opener against Radford at 7PM. Both games will be played here on campus @ the Retriever Soccer Park. So, come out and cheer on our teams to a new and exciting season!

On Every Friday night this summer, the residents of Little Italy host "Cinema al Fresco" a free outdoors film festival. Showing this week the 1968 comedy, "Buona Sera Mrs. Campbell". Located at the Corner of High & Stiles Streets. There is live music at 7 p.m. and the movie starts at 9 pm. Also, there will be free popcorn offered during the movie! The MTA Bus 35 Departs from the UMBC loop with a stop at the Inner Harbor.
Are you interested in something new? How about discovering a little bit of the past. Take a day and become a volunteer for the Fells Point Public Archaeology Program. The Archaeology Program meets every Friday from 9:00 to 4:30 at: the Fells Point Visitor, Center 1724 Thames Street in Baltimore. Are you enjoying the heat? Need a break? Why not take a trip to the beach! The Student Events Board (seb) will be hosting a bus trip to Ocean City, Maryland. The bus will depart commons circle at 8 AM and we will arrive in OC at 10:30. The bus will depart the park at 7 and return to campus at 9:30. Tickets will be on sale soon for $10 at the CIC!

How is your summer session going? Need a break? There are plenty of ways to unwind on and off campus. Go for a run or a swim at the RAC, or sign up for a one-day group fitness class. Rent a movie or a CD from the A.O.K. Library. Grab a UMBC Shuttle to Arundel Mills or the Inner Harbor for some R&R.
Did you hear that the Writing Center and the Math Lab are open for the Summer Session I.
Both Labs are located on the first floor of the library. If you have any questions or would like to visit, stop by the Learning Resource Center. These labs are there for you.
Welcome to the Summer 2012 Session! Now is the time to focus and try to gain a couple of credits. Because these classes are condensed getting help by starting study groups can not be overstated. If you need further assistance, you also can find help with our friends at the Learning Resource Center.
