Check Your Application Status

Once your application for admission is received and processed, you may view the status of your application online by selecting the "Check Your Admission Application Status" link from the myUMBC portal. The myUMBC portal provides a streamlined way to access your academic, professional and personal information and to engage the rest of the UMBC community.

How to access myUMBC

Activating your myUMBC account requires your date of birth and UMBC Campus ID.  Your Campus ID will be emailed to you approximately one week following the receipt of your online application.*  Once you have activated your account, click the "Log in to myUMBC" link to access the application status page.

Please be sure to write down your myUMBC username and password.  Should you forget your password, you can reset it by going here.

What you can access on myUMBC

The “Check Your Admission Application Status” link on myUMBC enables you to:

  • Identify any missing materials needed to complete your application.  A list of the items that you need to complete will be included in your “To Do List.”  Due to a large volume of mail, please allow at least two weeks for matching of hardcopy materials to your application.
  • Check the details we have on file about you including your address, phone number, and e-mail address.  If you need to make changes to this information, please email us at admissions@umbc.edu.
  • Accept our offer of admission and submit your enrollment deposit.  All admissions decisions will be sent by mail.
  • If you are applying to a special admissions program, such as those in the visual or performing arts or the Honors College, any outstanding items will be noted.

If you have any questions regarding your application, please contact us at 800-UMBC-4U2 or via email at admissions@umbc.edu.

If you have difficulty activating your myUMBC account, please contact the Technology Support Center
at 410-455-3838.

* Please note that there will be a substantial processing time for paper applications. During peak periods, students applying by hardcopy should expect to receive acknowledgement approximately two to four weeks after submission of the application.
