International Students

Freshman (First-time university study)
International students from outside the United States who have completed their high school or higher secondary education and who have not yet begun studies at the university level, should apply to UMBC for freshman admission.

Transfer Students (Continuing university study)
Students from outside the United States who have studied at the university level should apply to UMBC for transfer admission.

Graduate Students
Students with the equivalent of a four-year bachelor's degree who are interested in receiving an advanced degree at the master's or doctoral levels should visit UMBC's Graduate School Web site for admissions information.

Living and Studying in the United States
International students may find it helpful to visit the International Education Services Web site for additional information on living and studying in the United States. The International/Intercultural Resources Web site also provides important information about academic coursework, campus resources and organizations.
