Special Opportunities for Prospective Freshmen

Early Admission for High School Students

UMBC offers early enrollment opportunities for academically advanced high school students who wish to begin their college careers early. Early admission is available to those students who have exhausted their high school course options and would like to enroll full time as degree-seeking students. Applicants must meet the university's regular admission requirements. A letter of recommendation and permission to enroll from the applicant's high school is also required. Applicants for early admission must interview with the Admissions Committee.

Concurrent Enrollment for High School Students

Concurrent enrollment is available for academically strong students who wish to enroll part time while still attending high school. Students must meet regular admissions requirements. A letter of recommendation and permission to enroll from the high school is also required.
