Aaron Moss

Nurtured as an Artist
This year I played the lead role of Cash in The Faulkner Project: As I Lay Dying. Not only did I get the invaluable experience of creating a multi-genre show, but I got to work with an internationally noted director, Robert Allen, who is connected to a major shift in American theatre.

I chose UMBC for its attractive curriculum, highly notable faculty and unique degree opportunities. UMBC is the only university in Maryland that offers a B.F.A. in Acting.

The theatre faculty take a real interest in you as an individual. As an artist, they inspire you to be your very best. My professors often meet with me outside of class to discuss my future, and give solid insights into the world of theatre. And I've found a strong community of students in the Theatre Council of Majors, who are a constant source of support.

Because of the experience I've gained at UMBC, I've been accepted to some of the top graduate acting schools in the country: Harvard's American Repertory Theatre, California Institute of the Arts, University of California-Irvine and the Yale School of Drama. I have accepted a full scholarship to Yale, the number one graduate acting program in the nation. UMBC has helped put me in the spotlight.

Aaron Moss is majoring in theatre. He plans to continue his education by pursuing a graduate degree from the Yale School of Drama.
